Our priorities are simple: deliver safe, reliable, and effective terminal operations, maintenance and engineering services for our customers wherever we operate.About the RoleOur Shift Operator (Relief) is a permanent full-time position, assisting in managing and controlling the safe and efficient running of the terminal. Day to day you can expect to ensure HSSE and terminal operating rules and regulations are being followed, monitor and maintain site integrity through risk/hazard identification, and be responsible for pipeline and tankship product receipting. A key component of this role is the requirement to relieve into various roles across our terminal operations. Our Relief Shift Operators are jacks of all trades and are able to lend a hand with a variety of skills and duties, including tank farm work, DCS/control room, shipping discharge of liquid product, etc., and a key component is the relief roles will step into shift work when other ATOM employees are on leave, etc., providing coverage where we need it. Control room experience or experience with a DCS (Distributed Control System) is essential, and previous experience in permitting/Control of Work is highly desired.The role also involves some administration, reporting, and scheduling, as well as maintaining policies & procedures and updating work instructions.About You You will be a strong team-player with a willingness to learn and great time management and organisational skills. An eye for continuous improvement as well understanding various MS software. Prior experience with a Distributed Control System/DCS is essential, and experience working in high-risk environments (ideally bulk fuel or terminal operations) is strongly desirable, but not essential. If you only have some of the necessary skills, that's fine... ATOM provide training for areas you may not be familiar with yet.A flexible degree of availability is important given the operational needs of our terminals span across 24/7. You need to be comfortable with working a lifestyle/sportsmans shift roster as some roles you step into/relieve will be shift-based.
