Formed in 2015, ATOM was created between BP - one of the largest oil & gas companies in the world - and UGL - a leading provider of end-to-end outsourced engineering, asset management, and maintenance services in Australia.
ATOM maintains and operates 20 bulk fuel terminals across Australia, specialising in managing all aspects of terminal activities for our customers ranging from the storage and handling of bulk liquid fuels to maintenance and engineering services.

About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager, this role will be partnering with stakeholders including the leadership, operational and engineering teams providing insightful information, analysis, reports, financial models, benchmarking and recommendations for decision making. You will work closely with the FP&A Manager in co-ordinating the annual budget and subsequent forecasts, including data preparation, report generation, data review and presentation preparation.
You will build strong working relationships that aim to challenge the business, provide insightful analysis and use a collaborative approach that achieves best outcomes. Furthermore, you will work broadly with the team to develop, implement and monitor financial processes, procedures and systems to support effective financial management and help develop & improve mechanism to monitor and track cost saving initiatives.
The role will have a hybrid and semi-structured work approach, providing opportunities to work at home and opportunities to collaborate with your immediate team and the wider business at our office in St Kilda Road, with spectacular views over the bay. Occasional travel to sites around Australia is also required and beneficial for relationship building and understanding our operations.
About You
Possessing a relevant tertiary degree (Bachelor of Accounting or Business/Commerce) and CPA/CA qualification, you will bring solid understanding of financial and management accounting, month/year end processes, annual business planning, rolling forecasting and carry a positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow. This may be your step up into Finance Business Partnering and you are wanting to specialise in management accounting.
Your strengths will lie in providing analysis, interpreting data and knowledge of ERP systems coupled with an ability, confidence, and credibility to build relationships across all levels of the organisation. A proven track record of meeting project deadlines, a strong bias for action, you will be a self-starter who is comfortable operating in a small, dynamic team with drive and determination to see things through to completion. Naturally, excellent influencing and organisational skills and attention to detail is also required as is strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in NetSuite/Oracle EMP and Power BI would be an advantage. You will hold permanent full work rights for Australia.
