About the Role

As Finance & Payroll Officer, reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be an integral part of our Business Services Team, overseeing payroll delivery, payroll month accruals, payroll year end process and payroll reporting while performing accounts payable function. You’ll also be joining the team during an exciting time of change as our implementation of our new Integrated HR/Payroll system kicks off, offering opportunities for collaboration, learning, and growth.

The role encompasses the following responsibilities: -

  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll for 140 employees, including onboarding, salary adjustments, and offboarding.
  • Oversee superannuation contributions, payroll tax filings, and monthly payroll journal preparation.
  • Conduct annual reporting and reconciliations for payroll tax, Workcover, and payment summaries.
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Provide payroll-related insights for yearly salary reviews and bonus processes.
  • Handle payroll queries and support audits/process improvements.
  • Process end-to-end accounts payable and fortnightly payment runs.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including CEO support as required.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and highly organised payroll specialist who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Confident in managing end-to-end payroll processes, you ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while supporting a collaborative team. Your strong knowledge of payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and ATO reporting requirements will enable you to contribute effectively to payroll operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Your excellent time management and interpersonal skills, paired with a friendly and approachable style, will make you a valued team member.
