We have a highly engaged workforce with 93% of employees proud to work at ATOM, based on our 2021 People Engagement Survey. Our priorities are simple: deliver safe, reliable, and effective terminal operations, maintenance and engineering services for our customers wherever we operate. About the RoleThe Terminal Operator (Rail) position is a varied, DIDO (Drive In, Drive Out) role providing ongoing rail loading/unloading cover at BHP at Jimblebar & Whaleback mine sites as well as switching to terminal operations work in Port Hedland.When at the ATOM terminal our Terminal Operators assist in managing the daily terminal operations to ensure that safe and reliable operations are maintained, and while working at the Jimblebar and Whaleback sites you will be working closely with trains and assisting in loading/unloading. A paid company vehicle is provided to travel between sites, and additional allowances/supports are also available for working in these locations.These roles require a high degree of flexibility as they work a blended pattern of 8-day swings (at Jimblebar or Whaleback), rest periods, and time supporting our ATOM Port Hedland terminal, so you will learn and grow to be a jack of all trades with a lot of day-to-day variety and changes of scenery.We understand that you may not have the technical skills, but we are prepared to train you. All we need from you is a great attitude, positive behaviours, flexible thinking, and the willingness to learn and work closely with other experts in the field.
