We have a highly engaged workforce with 93% of employees proud to work at ATOM, based on our 2021 People Engagement Survey. Our priorities are simple: deliver safe, reliable, and effective terminal operations, maintenance and engineering services for our customers wherever we operate. About the RoleOur Shipping Operator assists in the safe and efficient running of our bulk fuel terminal as well as overseeing the discharging fuel from ships. Day to day, the responsibilities can include management of shipping and bunkering activities like discharging fuel from ships, interacting between the wharf and terminal, maintenance work, supervising shipping crew and on-site contractors & visitors, scheduling, administration and reporting. Our Shipping Operator must have strong regard for health & safety, reliability, efficiency, cost, stakeholder relationships, product stewardship & customer service, and must have availability for a 24/7 shift roster across Monday to Sunday operations. About YouBeing a go-getter with a strong team-playing attitude is essential, as is a willingness to learn new things, great time management skills and solid organisational skills. An eye for continuous improvement is a big plus as is an ability to use MS Office software. If you have previous experience working in high-risk environments this is desirable, as safety is always our number one priority. If you also have previous shipping experience and Shore Officer accreditation this is highly desirable but not essential - ATOM provide all the necessary training to get you accredited and set up for success. Being able to work a shift roster and flexible availability is required as the operational needs of our terminals spans 24/7.
